Philadelphia is the ancient name of Amman, the capital city of the Hashemite
kingdom of Jordan, the land of Romans who used to light their temples and
houses by reflecting the sunlight using large mirrors.
The ancient story of the Romans and their simple techniques using solar
energy has been reborn in the 21st century as a modern company that
develops, manufactures and markets solar modules.
Philadelphia Solar is the first and only solar modules manufacturer in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Officially established in 2007 in the Al-Qastal industrial area, which is 30 km from Amman (the capital city of Jordan), the company has a total investment and a paid up capital of 10 million US$.
The photovoltaic modules are manufactured using state of the art production lines from Japan, all models use TUV and UL certified components and Philadelphia Solar put particular emphasis on modules reliability especially in hot and humid climates which are experienced in the Middle East.
